Minda, 1985

Legacy brand

Minda started her business in the 1980s. Her creations began as a humble pursuit in her hometown of Muntinlupa City. With a deep respect for Filipino craftsmanship, she worked with artisans to design and craft furniture and home goods from locally sourced materials like rattan, transforming simple materials into timeless pieces that would find a home in Filipino households and businesses.

Minda never sought the spotlight. Instead, she poured her heart into every piece, letting her work speak for itself. Her dependability, tenacity, and commitment to quality made her an invisible force in the industry, quietly leaving a mark that would define the essence of Filipino craftsmanship.

Her pieces, each thoughtfully handcrafted, became more than just functional—they became part of the Filipino identity, embodying excellence and tradition. Through her, the artistry of the Philippines was showcased across the country and the world, woven into the fabric of everyday life.

Tradition, Reinvented

Four decades later, a single flower basket from Minda’s collection sparked inspiration in her granddaughter, Joanna. Captivated by the craftsmanship, she began designing handbags that paid tribute to Minda's artistry while thoughtfully adding to modern style. She turned to the artisans who had crafted Minda’s pieces with such care and expertise to bring this vision to life.

With a deep respect for heritage and a passion for design, Joanna aspires to honor her grandmother’s legacy while redefining craftsmanship in the fashion world. By blending the traditional art of hand-weaving with the unexpected strength of steel, Raciónamento brings you bags that embody both elegance and purpose. Thus, Raciónamento was born.
