MATERIAL GUIDE & CARE
About Our Fibers
At Raciónamento, we embrace the rich tradition of Philippine native fibers in our collection of bags. Our handwoven pieces, crafted from natural materials like rattan, bangkwang, and abaca showcase the unique beauty and craftsmanship of Filipino artistry. These materials are celebrated for their durability and timeless elegance, making them ideal for versatile, everyday wear.
Rattan, from rattan palm stems, combines robust durability with a classic, airy texture, offering both practicality and a relaxed, stylish look.
Bangkwang, derived from water hyacinth, with its sturdy nature and unique woven patterns, provide both durability and a distinctive, elegant appeal.
Abaca, from the banana plant, offers exceptional strength and flexibility, allowing for durable and versatile designs that maintain a refined, natural aesthetic.
These native fibers have been a part of Filipino culture for centuries, and we are proud to work with local artisans who specialize in these materials.
Each item is crafted with attention to quality and detail, ensuring that your Raciónamento pieces remain as enduring as the traditions they represent.
