OUR STORY
Raciónamento is rooted in heritage and culture, dedicated to preserving and celebrating Filipino craftsmanship through the art of handweaving, a tradition shaped by decades of passion and skill. Guided by the principle est modus in rebus—everything in proportion—we create pieces that balance form and function, each one meticulously handcrafted by skilled Filipino artisans.
We take pride in the deliberate, slow artistry that defines our work. Every detail reflects a commitment to quality and tradition, resulting in handbags that are as durable as they are beautiful. Our signature steel-framed natural fiber handbags combine timeless techniques with thoughtful design, creating pieces meant to be used, loved, and treasured for a lifetime.
Raciónamento is more than a brand—it’s a legacy built to last.

Legacy Brand
Minda started her business in the 1980s in her hometown of Muntinlupa City, where she worked with local artisans to craft furniture and home goods from materials like rattan. What began as a modest pursuit soon transformed simple, locally sourced materials into timeless pieces that would find their way into homes and establishments across the country and beyond.
While she never sought the spotlight, Minda’s work quietly earned the trust of those who valued quality and artistry. She built her reputation not through fame, but through a steadfast commitment to reliability, creating pieces that spoke for themselves and would endure as lasting symbols of Filipino heritage.
Each piece, thoughtfully handcrafted, was more than just functional—it became a testament to Filipino craftsmanship, embodying excellence and tradition. Through her, the artistry of the Philippines was woven into the fabric of everyday life, cherished across the country and the world.
Tradition, Reinvented
Four decades later, a flower basket from Minda’s collection sparked inspiration in her granddaughter, Joanna. Captivated by the craftsmanship, she set out to design handbags that paid tribute to Minda's artistry while infusing contemporary style. She turned to the artisans who had crafted Minda’s pieces with such care and expertise to bring this vision to life.
With a deep respect for heritage and a commitment to thoughtful design, Joanna honors her grandmother’s legacy while redefining craftsmanship. By blending the traditional art of hand-weaving with the strength of steel, Raciónamento creates bags that embody both elegance and purpose.
